Our Mission
Marius-Barbeau Center's mission is to promote the recognition of the intangible and tangible cultural heritage and to participate to its preservation, transmission and dissemination. The CMB specifically targets the folk arts and tradtitions of the Quebecois, including the First Nations and the cultural diversity.
The main centers of interest of the CMB are the folk dance, the costume, the music, the archives, the arrow sash, and the works of Marius Barbeau.
