In our community, we have three homes, Cana (opened in August 1997), Jubilee (opened in March 2003), Bethany (opened in February 2008), and our Gathering Place (opened in September 2017) that is home to our office and Day Program that provides individuals with intellectual disabilities activities such as music, art, drama, dance and life skills.
SPIRITUALITY:
Based on The Beatitudes of Jesus who taught that those who are poor are also rich in some way. People with intellectual disabilities, for instance, often have a real capacity to welcome and accept others, and to call people together around them. In L’Arche this reality is experienced through relationships lived out in daily life.
Ecumenical, respectful and welcoming of people of all faiths. · Encourages each member to grow in his/her own faith tradition.
L'Arche welcomes people with no religious affiliation.
