Our Mission
Founded by Artscape in 2003, and conceived as an one-day outdoor art show, QWAC is a charitable corporation that drives a number of initiatives publicly benefiting artists and residents of Toronto, including a three-day multidisciplinary arts event stretching along Queen Street West from Roncesvalles Avenue to Bathurst Street.
About Queen West Art Crawl
The Queen West Art Crawl features a major outdoor art exhibition in Trinity-Bellwoods Park called the Outdoor Art Show and Sale. This event draws over 20,000 attendees and showcases the work of approximately 250 established and emerging artists. Artists are selected by a jury of art professionals based on a sample of their work. Additionally, the OASS features children’s art programs, as well as an exciting performance zone.
Talks and tours of the West Queen West and Parkdale areas are also a large part of QWAC. These programs promote West Queen West and Parkdale as rich sources of architectural and artistic discovery. Crawl talks and tours take place in ‘hubs’ of galleries, historic areas and art event locations, and are led by local curators, docents & volunteers.
The exciting Parkdale Nightcrawl focuses on the vibrant nightlife of the community and its various venues, and features artist performances, community participation and exhibits.
